Nedcann is partnering with KG systems and Balkan Greenhouse in advancing the medical cannabis cultivation in Europe

Nedcann, a Macedonia-based Dutch company working on indoor production of pharmaceutical grade medical cannabis and KG Systems, a Dutch company with more than 20 years of experience in grow tables’ and internal transport systems today announced their partnership in building one of the biggest facilities for medical cannabis cultivation in Europe. The partnership is completed with Balkan Greenhouses, a Macedonian company working on providing equipment for complete control of the production.

The symbiosis between Nedcann’s decades of experience and knowledge in cultivating the cannabis plant, KG Systems’ innovative approach in building the cultivation site and Balkan Greenhouses sofistication in technical solutions for growing indoors will result in optimization of the different factors and in getting closer to a standardization of the process of growing medical cannabis.

According to the Allied Market Research report, the global medical cannabis industry is expected to reach $53.88 billion by 2030, witnessing a CAGR of 23.6% from 2021 to 2030. Increase in the legalisation of cannabis in different regions of the world and the raise in awareness about the health benefits of the cannabis plant are just some of the drivers of this growth. These changes will result in easier access to the medical cannabis for the ones in need.

‘For us, this partnership offers a better understanding of what the growers need and how we can help them as well as help us become suppliers with a knowledge about growing. We will be closing a gap that we feel exists between us as technical specialists and the customers’ needs’, says Bernardo, one of the founders of KG Systems.

‘Building a facility for indoor production of medical cannabis is a complex process and implies having knowledge in different fields. There is no textbook on how to do it. We are pioneers in this Industry, so being able to work closely with the guys that supply the technical solutions is an added value to the product we want to get on the market’, explains Stephan, the founder and CEO of Nedcann. Aleksandar, manager at Balkan Greenhouses adds: ‘We are happy to give our contribution to the medical cannabis industry. Being able to partner with a premium grower such as Stephan and help him advance his methods is the right choice for our company’.

For the companies in this Industry, finding the right partner to complement their skills and knowledge is of crucial importance in the process of providing the patients with the highest quality of medical cannabis.
